I made the mistake of getting curious about themes and styles and colors (oh my) when I read an entry in my flist about them. I've had my LJ three years today. Yaaaay!

I have noticed since LJ made The Move to Frisco, I have continued to receive e-mail notifications only sporadically. Am I the only one? Strange that this is still an issue, as I thought they were "back to normal" now. Hmmm.

  So, since the introduction of tags for LJ, and since I plan to keep this like, forever, I've begun the task of back-tagging all my entries.  I've completed May (when I started) through August of 2003.  It's slow and tedious, having to read every word of all your entries.  My journal isn't always very interesting, I realize.  I read a journal ( Read more... )

If I could give you one piece of advice right now, it would be to go and read the journals of recycling and thunderslug. If there were a course on how to make your LJ serve your own needs, but be downright fascinating to people who don't even know you as well, these two guys would teach it. ( Read more about them... )

Following the inspiration of dancingwaves, I could no longer keep from converting my journal to the colors she uses. I will probably tweak these colors and maybe change a few, but I don't know that I will for sure. The stock S2 style just looks so da'burn good, I might keep it. However, my icons are a bit flashy for such subdued colors. We'll see. I think ( Read more... )

I saw a little snippet in lj_nifty about the new Semagic Client allowing you to sync your LJ, in other words, to download it to your HD, then keep it current with the online version. You can edit entries, post, reply, etc. and the interface also has the LJ specific tags and bold, underline, italic tags, etc., so you just click on them and type your info ( Read more... )

Okay, so I post to my journal. Go "here" to read it and it ain't there. Refresh. Nope. Resign myself to a lost journal entry, refresh, Yay! It's there. Then I go respond to a comment on a different journal entry, come back to "Recent," and the new entry is gone again! Refresh, still gone. I have to laugh.
