I can haz vacation!
Due to a run of totally undeserved good luck, I stepped from one job directly to a new one back in July, without a chance to be Unemployed in between. I had planned on taking a week between jobs as a mental palate-cleansing break, but due to my new boss' schedule, I didn't have that opportunity. Having a job is a Good Thing, I know, don't get me wrong, but I really needed a break after all the crap at the CTSRN (Company That Shall Remain Nameless), and Steve said he'd let me take that week when things got a bit more settled.
Apparently, that time is Now. I'm taking the four days after Labor Day off. My god, 10 days in a row! I've got no plans for the time, at the moment, except to get out and walk. Maybe I can find a gym. I really need the exercise - my life is far too sedentary!
