Aural Dyslexia
Deb and I were watching a show on the Discovery medical channel this evening, when an ad came on for a show on plastic surgery scheduled for later tonight. I ignored the ad until my brain heard the phrase, "Gummi bear breast implants", which certainly made me sit up and take notice. I laughed to myself and shook my head. Deb asked what was so funny, and I replied that they couldn't have said what I thought they'd said, and told her what I'd heard. We both had a chuckle.
Then the ad came on again. And Deb swears that "Gummi bear breast implants" is what they're saying - or at least what she hears, too. Dammit, now I may have to watch the show just to get this image of mammary-enhanced Gummi bears out of my head!
