Sibling Relations
Hi. I have a sister, 2 years 8 months younger than me, and I'm looking for tips on how to explain what I am and am not capable of and relate to her. She gets confused and annoyed with me; she can't understand how I can be extremely intelligent in some respects and dumb as a brick in others. She has the mindset that if you try hard enough you can do anything, and although I apreciate the sentiment, when I say I CAN'T I mean I CAN'T. She's a great person and my best friend, and gets me better than any other person on this planet, but sometimes she doesn't see what's really going on, and I can't figure out how to tell her. Any tips on how to explain or just how to make things easier on her?
No bashing my sis in the comments please; she's not a bad person, she's 17 with an older sister who she has to take care of half the time and a family that likes to have meltdown inducing arguments over idiotic things. Bashing her's probably the only way to get me to cuss. :)
