i am not sure this woman is an aspie or not.
her name is susan boyle, and she appeared on 'britain's got talent'... walking out to the middle of the stage, this frumpy, frazzled 47 year old scotsowoman who admitted she'd never been kissed, much less married.
she was going to sing, she said, because she wanted to be a famous singer. the entire audience roared with laughter, and the judges barely contained their own amusement at the idea.
then, she opened her mouth and her gift poured into the air. crystal notes, pure tones, the song choice so perfect and this voice! the audience goes from laughter and jeers to applause and cheering... the judges are dumbfounded.
all of us have a cover we present... we apsies have our tics and stimming and quirky ways... and beneath that, we have gifts. susan proves never to judge anyone by what they appear to be... you can end up eating your words.
