Oh, It's wonderful!jenmart01June 25 2007, 07:29:53 UTC
Aspen,
I just read it and I loved the chapter! Especially the scenes about "The Quidditch Dad"! Very well done, and it made me laugh. I also really liked the scene where Harry is swimming and Severus and Draco both get stiff and angsty in watching him go under...Aww! They really do care about him!
Loved this chapter! Excellent story and writing as usual! I can't wait for the next chapter!
LOL. I don't know if you saw the best version of the chapter.... the html coding on my strikethroughs wasn't right at first. But I have fixed that. You might want to go back to look at Sev's complaint letter again, as he has MUCH better judgement than the letter sounds like at first.
I won't say here is something is going on with Roger, but I will say that you certainly are starting to have cause to think so, eh? Perhaps they're just friends and Harry is just enthusastic to learn to swim. Or perhaps not. I would say at this point that it's indeterminate.
I love Draco's dilemma and the way the letter to Hermione came out, I so didn't read it like that to start with, but then after I'd stopped laughing at Ron I thought about it again and it worked perfectly.
I also adore how inistent Draco was that he had to see Hermione right away, despite the time and what his watch said (incidentally I really want a watch like that!)
Loved the chapter... can't wait for the next one :)
I too, would like to know if Severus really does have Charms on Harry to make sure he's not hurting himself again ... although personally, (and I know I'm really mean to say it) I think it would be a lovely angsty bit if Harry DID restart his little problem. The drama between the three of them, not just for the action, but for whatever was the triggering actions also.
I don't actually know if Severus has such charms. I do know that Draco would suspect such a thing and Harry wouldn't, lol. This is the kind of thing I like to build in as possible, and then later, if it strikes me as something I want to use in some way, I pick it up again and run with it.
And you want to see his problem recur, tsk, tsk. Let me just say, I'm a little on the fence there, but I think there might be some issues in year 7 that are stressful enough to bring it out. Could be. I won't know for sure until I write it and see if it's persuasive.
