Thanks! And I just finished reading the chapter, it was lovely. I howled with laughter at the very end. :)

LOL. I don't know if you saw the best version of the chapter.... the html coding on my strikethroughs wasn't right at first. But I have fixed that. You might want to go back to look at Sev's complaint letter again, as he has MUCH better judgement than the letter sounds like at first.

It's his rough draft, see.

:D

*dies laughing*

I admit, I had assumed that the letter was a rough draft and he was simply...venting. The strikeouts make it, though. Strikeouts = never not funny.

I have to ask---*does* Snape have monitoring spells set over Harry to make sure he doesn't hurt himself again?

I thought it was interesting that Harry would think about Vernon and Dudley when it comes to passing on values. I've always thought that part of what makes the Dursley's characterization so brilliant is that, foul as they are, they really seem to care about each other a lot, which both makes them human and makes their treatment of Harry all the worse by comparison. Of course, I'm sure Severus wouldn't have been very pleased if Harry had said "Well he WAS a good dad---to Dudley anyway."

Honestly, I think I'm a little put out that Vernon is dead. It would be so satisfying if Severus could have a little talk with him these days...
