For awhile now, I've been fascinated with the graceful movements and style of Tai Chi. I've been wanting to take Tai Chi for a long time, but couldn't find anywhere around here that offered classes.
This morning, I got the rare opportunity of flipping through channels instead of watching cartoons, and came across the last half of a 30 minute Tai Chi session. They called it "White Tiger" Tai Chi, and upon further investigation, I found that it is based off of the
Bak Fu Pai (White Tiger) style of Kung Fu.
Intrigued by the style I was seeing, I actually got up and did the last 15 minutes of the show along with them. I didn't know the moves since I had missed the first half, but I caught on to most of the moves easily enough. I really, REALLY enjoyed this. I wish I had caught the whole show. That 15 minutes left me feeling wonderful... I hope that this is something that comes on every weekday. I'll definitely do my best to remember to watch it. Even on days when I take Elania to school, I should make it home in time to catch the show.
I would love to take an actual class of this style. Or if I could even find video tapes of the sessions, that would be cool too.
