(no subject)
What have I been doing? Oh, stuff. I went to MonUCS Annual dinner, which was fun. Yummy food, good company, enjoyable singing as always. Unfortunately on the way to the PDP shadowland's car had issues, so by the time I arrived, I was mostly asleep, and our ride left shortly after.
I decided to give MUCS a shot, since I would like to sing Carmina. I sat through most of rehearsal singing the other work. I don't particularly care for it, and I shall stick to my intention of only rehearsing and singing in Carmina. Unfortuantely we didn't sing any of that until the very end of rehearsal. Apparently this week we are going to rehearse more of it.
They also shifted me down a floor at work due to a new person starting and lack of room, bla bla bla. I wasn't suprised as I've known this for a long time, but it's never nice to have to move, and they gave me very little notice for when it was actually going to happen. However I got a very warm welcome downstairs, and there isn't the dreaded Level 12 lurgy on Level 11, and no Level 11 lurgy so I've got hopes of not continually getting sick. Erm yeah, and say that to the sick leave I've still taken. Grr!
Weekend was nice. i_weasel was working so took the opportunity to get stuff done that has been on the to do list. I went to silvernean_wolf and Kat's 30th birthday party at the Windsor. Oh it was special. Silver tea pots, monogrammed tea cups, silver 3 tiered trays filled with cucumber sandwiches, cakes, scones. Very special. I stuffed myself.
Phil and Seona came down from Sydney for the weekend and I met up with them and others who I hadn't seen for a while, which was all very good. We went to Geebung Polo Club in Hawthorn, which was a nice place, however extremely crowded in spite of being a Sunday afternoon. Very nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
And what's with this warm weather? I've had to prune my roses already due to the warm weather. My daffodils have come out and are very pretty, my peach trees will probably blossom fully this week, however I think my parsley is getting jealous as I'm not paying it as much attention as I am of other parts of the garden.
That's my 2 week update.
