[Ryohei heads down to the ballroom and waits near the door for Tim, chewing on what's left of a candy cane reindeer.]

[Tim shows up with a grin. He's got the football in one hand and a Panthers tee shirt on plus his cowboy boots. Who says you can't play football in 'em. At least the kind of football they're going to play]

Hey, let's go on in.

[He pushes open the ballroom door and starts shoving what little furniture there is up against the walls.]

[Ryohei follows him in and helps move the furniture out of the way.]

Haha, I should warn you, I have no idea how to play this game.

[Tim shrugs in response then heads toward the center of the room]

S'okay, I've been playin' since I could walk.

[He holds the football up to show Ryohei]

Let's see how you catch. We'll go from there. Go out 'bout 12 feet or so.

[Ryohei has to estimate that distance. Aaaah the metric system. He does as he's told.]

[Don't worry, Tim has to estimate it too and he's American. Once Ryohei is far enough away, Tim lobs the football nice and easy toward the guy]

[Ryohei catches it without trouble--he's got good hand-eye coordination. He grins, first at the ball, then at Tim. Doesn't take much with this one.]

Nice job

[Tim works harder when he gets some praise for doing things right so he tries to apply the same logic to teaching other people]

Let's see you toss it back then we'll see how you handle a nice spiral and see 'bout teachin' you how to throw one

[Ryohei looks at the football curiously--it's a weird shape--and then tosses it back. His aim and such is fine, but it's kind of a clumsy throw. He doesn't seem too upset about it, though.]

[Clumsy throw or not, Tim snags the ball of of the air with a grace he rarely exhibits doing anything else
