I am waiting for the human race to make a choice. To be sure, it must be a difficult one, once you all figure out my gift to you. But if it's any consolation, you won't until it's too late. You will think the book you read about the “Ring Virus” is harmless. You will think the made-for-television movie you've just watched about me, my death, and the supposed virus I created are just another bit of entertainment. Just another twenty-four-hours-a-day telecast of a boy who fell down a well, another celebrity death, another power-pop breakup, just another way to waste your time.
I'm also waiting for you to figure out that's not true.
But your choice. Oh, once you figure out it's not a choice. Once you start dying by the thousands because you are not living up to your end of the bargain. That is when the fun will begin, when I can sit back and watch my own self-created prime time entertainment. To be sure, it is for a higher purpose than my own amusement, but that does not mean that I shall not enjoy myself.
I am waiting for you to realize that what you have just read put a lease on your life, and in seven days, it's up. I am waiting for you to figure out how to beat it. And I am waiting to see if you'll kill someone you love to save yourself. I am waiting for the world to become aware of this; eventually you will not have any way to save yourself.
I am waiting for you to accept fate.
I am waiting for the world to be molded to my vision.
