160. What song best describes your life? (TM)

She doesn't listen to music. She doesn't need to; the chorus of want that undercuts everywhere she goes. There is no need for music when she can listen to pain, lust, sorrow, joy, any number of emotions unfettered and uninhibited.

But when she walks past the tiny music shop, she pauses and cocks her head. It is English, and she doesn't understand English. But the girl's voice is cooing innocent promises then switching to a gutteral growl within seconds. She's intrigued. Lucky for her, the girl behind the counter of the store can translate for her. When Sadako hears the translation, she laughs and claps her hands. The clerk rolled her eyes, dismissing her as too sweet for the music, too cute to belong in the store anyway. And yes, she does look out of place; her plain white dress and shoes in stark contrast with black vinyl and silver spikes.

But still.

She purchases the CD and returns home, laying on her bed to listen to the song over and over and over. She thinks about all her plans. About how everyone will understand, how the pain, lust, sorrow, joy - all of it will become uniform. Everyone will understand. She lets her palm rest on the flat plain of her stomach, smiling at the strange anatomy she knows is there, smiling at how she has achieved perfection.

Nobody else knows it yet, but their Queen has arrived. She is merely biding her time, waiting for the perfect plague she has brought to do its job.

When I am queen I will insist with perfect scars upon my wrists
that everything you once held dear is taken away from you

When I am queen sweet girlscout's face and not a one will fall from grace
If all their hearts I could replace, but until then I'll have to...

Drown drown drown myself
Drown drown drown myself
Drown drown drown myself
Drown

When I am queen on royal throne made out of parts of broken bones
of all the devils I have known that suck the angels dry

When I am queen I'll have my way I'll make it drowning Dollie day
and all the tears that we have cried will suck back in our eyes

Drown drown drown myself
Drown drown drown myself
Drown drown drown myself
Drown

Hush baby hush baby
Hush baby go to sleep
Hush baby hush baby
Hush baby I'll make it be

When I am queen I will not wait my body type will still be great
I will not leave it up to fate because I hate you too

When I am queen they all will see the patron saint of self-injury
the glitter sores will heal themselves I'll play the part of someone else
