Does your university/college/school have any weird superstitions that everyone seems to subscribe to? What are they?

In my university, it's considered bad luck to walk across the quadrangle in this picture:



Apparently, if you do, you won't graduate. That guy cutting the grass is fucked.

Also, in the West Wing (one of the wings in the building in the picture), there's a college crest and apparently if you walk on it, you die. Or something.

This question brought to you by me rushing to get to an exam today, and considering running across the quad. I then changed my mind, reasoning that I have come this far without going near the stupid grass, so there was probably not much point in tempting fate on my last day of university.
