ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on...

it seems like saturday and sunday are the most eventful days of my week.

yesterday I...

well...slept in...not so eventful...and went to the gym, which was exciting.

then I went to the awakening fest because I was volunteering as a drink vendor. it was actually a lot of fun and I saw/heard barlow girl (from very far, but it was still very loud ha) and some of jeremy camp too (who is AWESOME live). I met a girl named Jessica who told me about a college that I'm definitely going to look into. I think it was no mistake that we ended up in the same tent (since the one I was originally at got moved and she was a floater who came to work with us). It was overall a really good experience.

After that I went to Friday's with John and then we watched Office Space (my first time ever seeing that movie)...and it is hilarious...no, like REALLY hilarious...all the references and jokes people have made to that movie now all make sense and every time I think about it I can't help laughing (I even thought of some parts in front of customers today and started laughing...aside from looking crazy, I don't think they minded too much ha.

Today I went to church and it was like the 70th anniversary and they had different pastors coming up on the stage and so that was an exciting time. I'll never get over how incredible our choir is. They sang "For Every Mountain." That is one of the most powerful choir songs ever, we gave a standing ovation.

When I got home Megan and I took Ry and Kev to old town Manassas to get milkshakes from Foster's and we decided to walk to this bakery, but on the way we heard all this like Arabian music and thought it was live so we went to check it out. Turns out it wasn't live but there were these ladies doing gypsy belly-dancing and I made Ryan run to my car and get my camera.

They were part of this fine arts festival that was being held there. The rest was paintings and pictures, which were cool too. I looked back at Ry while I was taking pictures and he says, "I'm bored, can we go?" and I was like "SHHHH," he said it all loud and stuff ha. So they we took the boys to the hobby shop so they could look around and while on our way we heard bagpipes! So Megan and I let the boys browse the store while we headed to find out where they were coming from. We found the group of Irish-looking bagpipe players outside of a little pub.

they noticed us just standing there and this guy on a drum came over to me and told said they were going inside to play because it is "half-way to st. patrick's day" ha and we hesitated to go in but he was like, "COME ON!!! there's always time for a beer right??" haha uhh...no, but we went in to get pictures anyway then Meg went to collect the boys and bring them to see too and they enjoyed it.

(that's not the guy who told me to come in ha, he's to the far right...out of the picture and i was to lazy to go upload the rest I just took the ones Meg uploaded while I was at work ha, I'll post more later maybe)

So we discretely left the pub and set out to see what other exciting things we could find. We stopped by this huge candy store, it was like Willy Wonka ha well, it wasn't that big, but there was huge variety, the boys couldn't decide what to get ha. Then we went to the bakery and I got Portuguese rolls, which taste similar to a French baguette, but still, not the same.

From there it was a drive home listening to the Beatles and Tom Jones. Yeah, I like the old school stuff, no, I love it.  And then I was off to work.

Tonight was the Redskins and Cowboys game...which I started watching at Foster's while we were closing up, and yes, saw that AMAZING 100 yard run to touchdown!!! unfortunately that was the only touchdown and my team lost , 27-10 Dallas....HOWEVER, I still love the Redskins and I still hate the cowboys.
