she stood in the rain just staring above,
"what do you see?" asked he,
"a grey sky," said she, "and i love it."
she left him and walked alone,
"where are you going?" asked he,
"on a narrow way," said she, "and i love it."
she swept away a tear from her eye,
"why not lean on me?" asked he,
"i don't need a crutch," said she, "and i love it."
he reached out and stopped her, turning her to look him in the eye,
"when will you love me?" asked he.
a tear rolled down her face.
"when your veins are as mine," said she, "as i adore you, i am but a conquest. yet again. why do you deceive me?" asked she,
and he walked out of her life, just like that.
==============================================
we weren't built for pain such as this,
we weren't made for the ones who betray us.
it's beyond us to wonder why we are the target,
it's too honest to blame those who take us too far
and it's too bad we couldn't be hidden from suffering,
but her hands feel her heart's beat in spite of the absent...silver...

"and i need you to love me," said she,
"'cause it's all too familiar right here."
