On the other hand, some people choose to build sites around things like paypals web cart, system which takes a small % out of every $ transaction.
For webspace and domain name. If you dont mind the ads, or dont mind covering them up with a a free service like: 50free.com, might cut it. It has the php & sql support required for a minimum install of something like zencart or os-commerce. Though, the sql database is pretty small.
A URL cloaking service, like cjb.net could hide that ugly free URL. Though, I think most of them have annoying pop-ups. I haven't really looked into that in awhile... *shrug*
I really don't want ads. I already have the domain and the host, I just haven't been able to do anything with it since A) i don't know how and b) havent found the right people.
