1. Last chance: postcard post!

2. Work is stressing me out to the point that my eye is twitching ALL THE TIME. Three more days.

3. On one hand: /o\ NHL lockout*. But on the other: if it lasts a bit, I'll get to see some awesome players at Aeros games. Since they play OKC a bajillion times a season. Or, you know, at least ten. While we're on the subject of the lockout, Evgeni Malkin is already practicing with Metallurg, and might play in their game on Thursday? I mean, I assumed he was staying in Russia until the last minute before the CBA expired and training camp began, but wow, that was fast. What are the chances that someone will insure Crosby so he can join Malkin and Gonchar? I'd assume that's a liability that not many teams desire or can afford, but maybe not.

4. Death of a Salesman is the next play at the Alley. I'm not sure it can meet the standards set by Philip Seymour Hoffman and Andrew Garfield. In any case, tickets exchanged for a date when we are actually in town.

5. Amanda Palmer tomorrow night. Doors at Fitz open at 8pm, and there are three openers. I am really REALLY not going to want to get up for work on Wednesday.

6. I feel like I had something else I wanted to say, but can't recall. Senior moment.

* My default reaction is to side with labor rather than owners, but JFC, it's hard to feel too sorry for dudes who play a game and make millions for it. Compare that to the teachers in Chicago striking right now. An order of magnitude difference, and for people whose work will have profound repercussions on society in the form of their students for years to come.

postcards, music, oh life, that's why they pay me the not-so-big $, i am lame, hockey
