Also, I am amused that I don't even read LJ for months and months because I'm all wrapped up in hockey and making friends with other hockey fans elsewhere, and when I return to check in here, it turns out everyone's gone and gotten themselves into hockey! :D

I'm sort of hoping that the fact that some years they are actually better on the road than at home will work to their advantage. Mostly I really really DNW a four-game sweep. :(

It is hilarious to me how the media keeps going on and on about how old he is. He turned 40 during the Flyers series FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! ;)
I happened to be in New Jersey when the Devils won their first ever Stanley Cup in 93 or 94 (sorry, can't recall the exact year), which I thought was pretty cool, and then I was riveted to their Cup run in 2000. They are the least objectionable of the former Patrick Division teams to me. ;)
They will not get swept! I decree it!

I think it was 95? Oh, the Scott Stevens years. No one in my family was really into hockey, so I didn't watch it until I went to college, and somehow I fell in with some people from Jersey, who inducted me into Devils fandom, and that was the end.
