Our delivery guy has been off work since last Wednesday so I've been helping my Dad out with deliveries and on our little drives around Wellington I have been treated to some of his 'musings'.
Yesterday he went on and on about Wellington pedestrians and their total lack of alertness - "they'd all be run over by now in Hong Kong". It's true though; some people assume that you'll stop for them to avoid a criminal charge. I especially notice it around Queensgate. People just walk straight out without even bothering to check and sometimes they're parents with small children. Tsk tsk.
Today we stopped off in Kilbirnie and he complained how the traffic is always so busy in such a small suburb and how there are far too many traffic lights. He also thinks Kilbirnians have nothing else better to do because "they're always standing around on the streets".
