As much as it pains me to admit this...Saw 2 is actually not that bad. I didn't exactly like it, but it's an improvement on the dire, plot-hole-ridden first installment. So why did I watch it? It was half-price Wednesdays at Blockbuster. And I'm a sucker for horror sequels. Speaking of which, when the hell do we get Final Destination 3?
Doing deliveries again for the next two weeks because our delivery guy is on a family holiday in China, so I'm dealing with a lot of annoying Chinese people who like to watch me and my brother move heavy objects. Gee, thanks for the hand, you fuck. God help me.
The overdubbing and mixing session last night with Kat at STL went swimmingly well. I got to redo some bv's and Kat added some killer bits and pieces here and there to flesh out the lead vocal lines. Troy the engineer mixed one of the tracks and will work on the rest over the next week. It shouldn't be too long now until we get to hear the final product.
All this excitement surrounding Kat's EP has really made me want to get my act together to record my own EP. I have more than enough songs that I'm willing to record and let go for the the world to listen. I've got rough ideas of how I want them to sound, though I admit I might be thinking a bit too adventurous in some cases. The only thing standing in my way, that perpetual obstacle for all artists: money. Sigh. Just keep on dreamin'...
