Hi all. In doing my dissertation research on 17th c Japanese relations with Southeast Asia, I've grown quite interested in pre-colonial Vietnamese history, particularly in the 16th-18th centuries.

I have already used Li Tana's "Nguyen Cochinchina" to a great extent, along with a number of books on maritime Southeast Asia as a whole ( Read more... )
