Counting Crows are soooo f*ckin' good live!! GO AND SEE THEM!!
Nick, hei lun & i went to the counting crows concert last night..they are SOOOOOO good live!!! and it's ironic 'cause adam duritz kept saying how he was losing his voice but he stuck it out and sang last night...but about 5 or 6 years back, i was supposed to see CC with the Wallflowers and just shortly before the night of the concert, Duritz pulled out 'cuase of doctors pretty much "ordering" him to not use his voice due to laringitis...so people could pull out & get their $$ back, but i still went and saw the wallflowers...anyway, point of this little story is: I ACUTALLY GOT TO SEE THE CC PERFORM!!YAY!!! and uncle cracker opened for him..and UC actually wanst' as bad as i had anticipated...yeah, some songs were kinda "rock/hick-ish"...but..waht can you expect from a guy who calls himself "uncle cracker"???
so what else is new?? the other night, when i was ready to go Fight Club on someone from working on my paper which was incredibly frustrating, i had stayed in the library working on that damn thing from...ready? get this: i was in the library from 5:45pm 'til 2:30 in teh m orning!!!!!! ALMOST NINE HOURS OF STAYING IN TEH SAME BUILDING!! i never left once!! i just got up to walk around and update my LJ, but i never even left to get food!!! YAY ME!! got the son-of-a-bitch done, too!!! just had to finish putting in the end notes the next morning....other than that....
yeah, so instead of going to get sleep after handing in teh paper yesterday, i went to teh gym instead! lol...went to the gym the last 3 days in a row!! and i actually have a good workout, too! my friend Stef and i had been gonig to the gym the last 3 or so weeks the days we have englihs and we go before class...eng. is at 9:15 on mon, wed. & thurs...so we get up and go tot eh gym at 7am!! then at 8, we go back to our respective apts. and shower, then meet back up in class....and we recently joined NU's "Women's Health & Fitness" club...it's funny 'cuase it's "WHF", which always makes me think of wrestling..like the (former) WWF..hehe...but now they have this rewards program t hrough WHF where we have our little "passbook" and each time you go to workout, you get your book stamped and for every 15 stamps, you get 1 free movie ticket! you betch your sweet ass, i'll be hittin' the gym more now just for the free goods! lol..haha..no, but it's good...i feel better and it relieves lots and LOTS of stress!!! and besides, what else do i have to do at 7am?? (besides sleep of course!)
Okay, so i know it's like, a bit more than FOUR months away!! but i'm trying to get ideas for a big bash for my 21st b-day!!! i was looking into Dick's Last Resort..which is right down the street from my school and yet, i'v never been there...i've had friends who have gone..and the people there are rude (their MO) and they totally embarrass you and make you wear these weird, giant-ass paper hat things w/ all sorts of sayings on them...my friend Stef went and she had one that said "ask to try my beer-flavored nipples!" lol and someone else got one that said "ask me about my rasH"...lol so if you are interested, check out their website www.dick'slastresort.com click on the boston one and it'll giv eyou the menu & shiznit....there are party packages for a minimum of 20 people for 2 hours up 'til 8pm....but we might just go on our own and do it our way...anyway, my 21st falls on a wed. and i know that, for those of you who will actually STILL be in THIS COUNTRY *ahem, just a twinge of jealousy there*, you'll prob. either have class or work (my pharm. buddies who will be on co-op) the next day..so either we'd do it earlier in the evening on wed. or wait 'til fri..at any rate, i'm kinda fixed on dick's..but if there are any other suggestions, let me know!! remember: something that will appeal to BOTH genders!! so nix H(o)(o)ter's and chippendales!! lol honestly, i am not looking for anything on my b-day..all i want is to go out and have a good time and make sure that all my friends have a good time, too!! and i'd really like all my diff't groups of friends to meet, as well...my quincy buds, my pipers crew (AF Bill, henry, probably Chris aka: Goat), my pharmacy gal pals (we're charlie's angels! lol..i'm cameron diaz!! haha), my non-pharm. NU buds (if i decide to invite them...dave would fall into this group), my roommate (if she's gonna be around in spring--don't know when sh'es going ot study abroad, but i'ts not next qtr., anyway).....it'll just be awesome!!
Yep..that's about it for now....OH YEAH!! so after the gym ysterday, i saw "8 mile" w/ lothida..it was decent...i was never one who thought eminem was a "heartthrob" or anything...i mean, i found him mildly attractive, but after seeing the movie, i realized that he kinda looks ilke Jay Mohr (formerly of SNL and he was in "Mafia!")..it's eminem's eyes that make him look like Mohr the most!! but i gotta admit: his sex scene w/ britney murphy (they never showed anything, but it was still graphic..i.e. breathing, motions), i got SOOOO turned on!! lol...haha..HEY, i'm just being honest!!!
