Hm.... What a nice weekend.. A lot of studying though. Friday we didn't do much, but we did get some of my studying started for my exams today and did our usual hang around. Saturday was a day filled with mild pet shopping [I'm looking for a new Squiggles and Tengies needed a new turtle house :3], a haircut, an outing at the comedy club across Helium, and dinner at the Marathon Grille. Uteng's new haircut = a heck of a lot better than the one he got back way back in Febuary. :] And it was super neat to see the hair stylist agree with me that he didn't need a haircut haha. But I guess it was a good compromise between long and short, and he did need it since he was complaining on how hot it was. :] Another part of the day was spent at the PetSmart looking for new fishies and a turtle home. :] But unfortunately, I couldn't buy Squiggles yet. :[ Oh well, maybe next weekend. And he said that there was a chance that his father was gonna be able to make him a new turtle house himself. Speaking of turtles, Uteng and I finally named his turtle. :] We called him Toyota. XDD After that it was off to try and find a guitar stand for Boejangles's birthday after getting a bit of ice cream and some Vitamin Water from a nearby Wawa. Unfortunately, the one place we went to only sold triple stands which would hold up to three guitars. I thought they would be a good gift, but Uteng I guess just thought they wouldn't be good in the current condition the were in. After all, they did look a bit old haha. Well eventually the night came, and we were off to see Boejangles and Matt so we could go off to the comedy club. Uteng's haircut seemed to make a good impression. Yay! Too bad Uteng's not totally used to it yet which is normal I suppose. Haha. But anyway, we started to watch part of the first episode of the Flight of the Conchords, but then Matt came haha, and we had to stop. We barely saw thirty seconds of it! Oh well, we just left for the comedy club soon after Matt came, and on the way apparently, Mr. Boejangles's "new girl" [or at least some girl he sounds like he has an interest in] happened to call, and he invited her to come along. For whatever reason she said she would call back after getting off the subway and had to mention that she didn't have enough money to pay for her sister? Uh... Why would your sister come along when Boejangles is the one who wants you, and potentially only you to come along? That part I didn't understand. Maybe she just wanted a "wingman" for the whole thing haha. Oh well.
Anyway, this time instead of going off to Helium which was usually the norm for us, we went off to an improv group called Comedy Sportz. Unfortunately, we arrived about 5 minutes late, so it was kinda confusing at first to see what was going on. Then, it got really funny and highly audience participation friendly. :D And highly baseball themed haha. There were two teams and each played a different set of mini games to determine who would win the points for their team. Such games included very comedic versions of Four Corners, Spelling Bee, a miming and gesture with jibberish game, and many others all horrendously funny! And that one chick was really good at guessing when she was doing the miming game! Such scenarios included: "Washing a kitten with a palm tree sponge," "playing paint ball with a spatula against 80's rock bad Poison," "sky diving from a whale with a leprechaun as a parachute," and "sychronized swimming with Bugs Bunny in a pool of muffins." She guessed ALL of them correctly except the last one! That's pretty good! Unfortunately, by the end of the night, the New Jersey team won, and the Philadelphia team lost haha. Not bad though ne? :D
After that it was dinner at the Marathon Grille. I was quite surprised. With the overpriced menu they have you'd think that the food you were getting was something kinda good, but it sucked ass!! Why did we go there!... Oh right Boejangles had never tried it haha. Neither had I, but I certainly won't be going back. Yech! Oh well...
Sunday was all right, but it was awfully stressful since I was trying to get the last bits of studying in before I went to bed. :[ Not to mention a few other annoying factors of the night. Ugh. Oh well. I needless to say didn't get much sleep last night or this morning. Nor was I feeling too well. :[ But at least Nick was nice enough to check up on my concerns. Thank you Nick all the way in Conneticut! Get well from that cold soon! And make sure you don't get Christina sick ok! :D
