**Editor's note: This post was planned for last week, but sadly LJ's "scheduled" post service didn't quite work the way I expected...that is to say...it didn't work AT ALL. Oh, LJ. *sigh*
After the last rather heavy recs (Battle Royale, Private Eye), it's a nice change of pace to be able to recommend Pathfinder Pictures' release of romantic K-movie
Relation of Face, Mind and Love. Successful architect Kang Tae-poong (Kang Ji-hwan, Lie to Me, Capital Scandal ♥, Hong Gil Dong) gets into an accident that seriously impairs his vision - sort of. Suddenly, women he would normally find unattractive appear gorgeous and vice versa. This is, of course, exactly when he meets Wang Soh-jung (Lee Ji-ah, Legend, Athena), a sweet but rather plain pet magazine reporter. Sparks fly, but complications inevitably arise when Kang's vision "improves."
If you couldn't tell, Relation of Face, Mind and Love is basically a Korean Shallow Hal. It's a light, fun watch, particularly if you're into rom-coms.
