Trailer Tuesday: Painted Skin 2
I've been waiting for Painted Skin 2 (a.k.a. Painted Skin: The Resurrection) from pretty much the very moment I finished watching Gordon Chan's first film in the series. It's been forever felt like forever since rumors of the sequel started making their way around the internet, and now we finally have a real trailer!
I'm definitely not bagging on the gorgeous fantasy art-based concept trailer (helmed by Yoshitaka Amano and others), but it's really great to see the actual characters and sets in all their glory.
The first film starred Zhao Wei ♥, Zhou Xun ♥, Donnie Yen, Chen Kun, and Betty Sun, and the The Resurrection will feature the return of at least Zhao, Zhou, and Chen.
Painted Skin: The Resurrection is set for Chinese theatrical release this June 2012.
