[Pourboire] Le Bol d'or, Lille - Gherl 2014 01 18
[ENG] Yesterday, I ate at Maharani, my favourite Indian restaurant (no photos, the light there is terrible) and I thought of my Bestiole. The reason I'm trying out new restaurants is partially because I used to go to my favourite ones with her and that it brings back memories. Since she was diagnosed lactose-intolerant, we never returned to this one together (yogurt, butter or cheese everywhere...). And going alone really felt lonely.
I remembered the first time I brought her to le Bol d'or. She absolutely LOVED phở. The stock is light but the soup is still rich because of the raw beef, cooked beef and meat balls. Vietnamese cuisine is just perfect for her regarding her food restrictions. So each time I'd crave for phở, which is quite often, she'd happily come along. We tried out some other dishes but their phở being SO delicious, we quickly ended up ALWAYS ordering the exact same thing x'D
Herebelow is a crappy photo from my cell phone. The second arc of Tempora zero is quite short so I don't draw the protagonists really often. There's no room for much character development either and characters are very stereotyped to give the story a kick. Gherl is the gloomy type in case you were wondering c:
[FR] Hier midi, je suis allée manger au Maharani, mon restau' indien préféré et j'ai pensé à ma Bestiole. Nous allions souvent manger ensemble à ceux où j'ai mes habitudes et du coup les souvenirs remontent. Depuis que son intolérance au lactose s'est confirmée, nous n'avons plus pu aller à celui-ci pas exemple (yaourt, beurre ou fromage partout hélas...). Et y manger seule, je me suis vraiment sentie seule.
Je me souviendrai toujours la première fois que je lui ai fait goûter le phở du Bol d'or. Elle a A-DO-RÉ. Le bouillon est léger mais le plat reste riche car il contient beaucoup de viande de boeuf. En plus, la cuisine vietnamienne est parfaitement adaptée à ses restrictions alimentaires. A chaque fois que j'avais envie de phở, ce qui arrive super souvent, elle venait toujours volontiers. Nous avons essayé quelques autres plats de la carte mais leur phở, c'est juste une tuerie intersidérale et très vite, y'avait juste plus moyen qu'on prenne autre chose x'D
Ci-dessus, encore un croquis au stylo à bille pris avec mon téléphone. Le second arc du Tempora zéro est un scenario court et il laisse peu de place au développement des personnages. Les protagonistes sont très stéréotypés et Gherl ne fait pas exception; c'est le brun ténébreux pour ceux qui se posaient la question c:
