Friday night
After watching España beat Rusia in a friendly game of fútbol, my roommate and I took a walk with our host mom around the barrio. (Neighborhood, people...it´s not a ghetto. I think I live in the Spanish equivalent to suburbs.) Anyway...that night I was treated to a pas de deaux featuring the stars and fireworks. Somehow it was so much more magical than it is in the EE.UU. I don´t know what else to say.

Carlsberg
They have Carlsberg in Spain, but I have yet to see a single product from Tuborg. And trust me, I´ve seen plenty of cervezas here.

Madonna
Spaniards, or at least the ones who live by me freaking love Madonna. I was walking down the street one night and heard a group of girls singing "Like A Virgin" at the top of their lungs. I was amused.

New Music
No doubt there´s a soundtrack to every event en mi vida. I don´t like to create it. I prefer for it to come to me. Having said that, I´m in love with David Bisbal now. I´m not sure what his big hit is called, but it goes something to the effect of "boom boom boom va mi corazón..." Yeah. It makes me want to bailar. He´s going to be here on the 25th. I need to see about getting entradas. And there´s this other canción that I heard at clubs in all the other cuidades, but not in Salamanca. Something like "girl let me hold you, caress my body, you got me goin crazy...turn me on, turn me on..." Sounds Sean Paul-esque...yeah. If anyone knows, holla. Maybe it´s a popular song in America. Rock. La Vida Española 2004! is what my compilation is going to be called.

Yay for Spanglish! I´ve gotta go look up una recete española now...besos!
