Bird, of Endorphine, and Ye Eun, of Wonder Girls
Happy birthday to Bird, a member of the Thai pop rock group Endorphine, who turns 23, and to Ye Eun, a member of the Korean girl group Wonder Girls, who turns 20!!!
Overview: One of the most popular bands in Thailand, Da Endorphine is composed of Da on vocals, Kia on guitar, Bird on Bass, and Bomb on drums. The band was originally named Endorphine, a modification of the word “endorphins”, for their desire to bring happiness to the people who llisten to the music. In the last two years Da has struck out on her own, releasing a solo album, and the band has been renamed to Da Endorphine to support her popularity as a solo artist, with the remaining members working as her backup musicians. Latest News/Releases: Da Endorphine hasn’t released anything new since the album Sound About last January. At first I was really confused about what happened to the rest of the band when Da struck out “solo” but now I think I understand. But if I’m wrong, please correct me, because this has been really bothering me for a while. xD
My Opinion: I really like Da Endorphine or Endorphine or whatever the heck they are. Da’s voice is really unique and pleasant, and it blends along well with the other musicians. They general have a light pop rock sound, and I really like them. They are definitely worth listening to. Absolutely!

Doo Lae Kao Hai Dee Dee: This song is really pretty! For some reason it feels like Da’s vocals are even better than before. She sings so wonderfully! The melody is kind of sad, and when you read the lyrics you know it absolutely is. But I really like it…it’s so emotional and heartfelt, and still has the same feel of all of Endorphine’s songs. Wonder Girls
Overview: Barely two years old, Wonder Girls is taking Korea by storm. Originally composed of Sun Ye, Ye Eun, Sun Mi, So Hee, and Hyun Ah, the group made its debut in February of 2007 and almost immediately had great success. Although facing several difficulties in 2007, including injuries, car accidents, and Hyun Ah leaving because of medical problems, Wonder Girls was able to continue on in full force, especially after the addition of their new member, Yoo Bin. Because of their great popularity, they have achieved a great many awards, including a Daesang (equivalent to Artist of the Year), and have also toured in the United States, China, and Thailand. Latest News/Releases: Wonder Girls’ latest release is the digital single NOW, which is a cover of a song by the same name originally sung by Fin.K.L, Lee Hyori’s former group. It was used as the theme song for some LG commercials. They’re currently planning on releasing an English version of their hit single “Nobody” for their American fans.
My Opinion: Wonder Girls continues to impress me. Every new song is better than the last. I didn’t like “Tell Me” initially but then it started to grow on me. Then I heard “So Hot” and got addicted…even though the lyrics are obnoxious , the song is terribly catchy. And then “Nobody” has such a fun feel to it, and I love the music video. “Anybody” was also a great rendition. I honestly don’t remember what “NOW” sounds like, but that I’ll talk about in a minute. I don’t think the girls are especially talented, except maybe for Yoo Bin and her awesome rapping, but they have the advantage of having JYP there to produce awesome songs for them, so they haven’t failed to create good music. =]

NOW: This song doesn’t yet grab me, but I think it’ll probably get me addicted soon enough. It reminds me a little too much of the pop music of the 90s that I used to listen to in sixth grade. xD; It is a pretty catchy and lol, the intense music video is kind of ridiculous. xD But it is a pretty cool song so I encourage you to try it out!
