Ian, of F.I.R.
Happy Birthday to Ian, producer and keyboardist of the Chinese pop group F.I.R.!! He turns 36 today~
F.I.R. is a three-member Taiwanese group formed by Ian Chen, who had been working in the music industry for over 10 years and had wanted to form a band. He recruited Faye Zhan, whom he had heard sing in a music competition, for vocals, and Real Huang, who was a skilled guitarist and award-winning composer, to play the guitar. The name F.I.R. comes from the first letter of their western names.
The group originally made their debut with the song “Lydia”, which was the theme song for the Chinese drama The Outsiders. However, the band was not widely recognized for the song until the drama aired in Taiwan, where the song attracted the attention of Taiwanese fans, and subsequently, F.I.R. became widely popular with their 2004 album debut.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this group. OMG, you have no idea. xD; The vocalist Faye was a really wonderful, clear, strong, voice with a great range, and the group as a whole makes music that complements her voice wonderfully. They have such great songs. It makes me very happy to listen to them. I highly recommend you try them out. Do it. NOW!
Yue Ya Wan
This is from their latest album, Love Diva. It's a very nice song, but it's really unlike most of their other songs, which is somewhat unusual. A lot of their songs seem to have a similar musical theme, but this one is just different. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I think it will take some getting used to on my part. Anyway, it's a lovely song and I recommend you try it out. :3

This is one of my personal favorite songs. It's so beautiful and heartfelt, and Faye's vocals are wonderful. The music video is very touching, too. I love how so many Chinese videos have little stories in them. <3
