Sore Bootie!

Well, yesterday was my very first time horseback riding. I have always been intimidated of large animals...even though horses are (for the most part) friendly, just the pure size of them is a little scary...

(DISCLAIMER: Blurry pictures is a result of riding on a horse while using a camera)

We arrived at the place around 530pm and the horses were already waiting for us. The temperature was a little over 115 degrees with about 40% humidity in the air...wonderful weather to be outside! Here I am for the first time on a horse!

I have to admit that sitting up there was pretty fun, but at the same time, the saddle was hard as a rock! It was explained to me that this is a "British" saddle. Little did I know how bad my ass would hurt the next day!

We went through this trail that went through woods filled with weed. All of the green you see below are marijuana plants.

This is the group of us that went horseback riding. From L-R: Me, Mickey, Cindy, Rick.

Behind us is Rawal Lake. Here is a picture of it before our 1 hour trip down the lake.

On the way there, we encountered some interesting things. One of the things that we came across was a bee farm. Yes, there were literally thousands of bees that we were trying not to disturb with our horses. A little intimidating...yes!!!

Just a few more pics to end with:

I guess this begs the question: Will I ever go horseback riding again? I would like to say yes, but the way I feel today...it might be a long while!

FYI, we are having a party this coming weekend at our house...it is a July 4th party on July 2nd. I will make sure to take lots of pictures...We are having a live band with Pakistani dancers (not the stripper kind...traditional kind), hookas (those weird things you put water in and smoke out of, which I definitely do not do), and even a DONKEY! I will update later!
