So a few months ago
I mentioned a road trip to Canada. Well...it's expanded a bit since then. See, I didn't want to just try to drive straight up there (because I'm not entirely crazy) so I thought I'd stop in Washington, DC and Boston along the way. And then I got to thinking about the drive back and what else I might do. And then, heck, why

If you have the time in DC, I would recommend the Holocaust Museum as well. I understand it is powerfully affecting. The Vietnam Memorial is a must too and that is from personal experience.
In Baltimore, there is a WWII submarine monument / tour just next to the Baltimore Aquarium. I recommend it, it was very interesting (at least for me, but then I have a personal interest in WWII submarine stuff).
In Boston, you need to check out Quincy Market, at least briefly. There was a place there some years ago called "Boston Brownies"; I don't know if it's still there, but if it is, it has the best brownies I've ever tasted. If you're going to New York, I'd recommend the NY Library or the Metropolitan Museum of Art more than the NY Aquarium. Just my thinks.
Hope you have a grand time! I'm going to want to see photos of it all.
And thanks, by the way, for all your comments on my own photos. Made me feel like I wasn't wasting my time by putting them up.
cheers,
Phil

In Washington I'm making a prioritized list of everything I want to see and will go down the list in order...I'm going in knowing I'll never see it all. The WWII memorial is one of my primary goals because my grandfather was killed in that war. I'll check out the sub if there's time.
Pictures are, of course, going to be in abundance. I'm hoping to see a moose and a bald eagle while in Canada.
