Heading out

Jul 02, 2007 08:20

Just about ready to go on the trip.  Final things to do: laundry, pack, arise way-too-f-ing-early.  And the next couple of days are going to be packed.  Monday nights are my usual hangouts with the MM crew and Tuesday I'm going to see Transformers.  I'm attending the 9:10pm showing at the Regal Hollywood 24.  Anyone else is invited if you care to join.  Then Wednesday is the laundry day, followed by ARTC rehearsal.  Thursday I'm up at the asscrack of dawn to head for Kansas City via St. Louis.  I bought a 2G memory stick and a 2nd battery for my camera, so expect a flood of pictures when I return.

Southern stingray and crevalle jack.  These two have been best buds for a while now. I have no adequate explanation for this behavior, but they travel together quite a lot.

If you look at the left pectoral fin you will see a stingray barb sticking out. This is what happens when you try to eat the stingrays.

Self explanitory, really.

Taken at the aquarium, but since it's not related to fish I put it in my "Various skies and sunsets" album.  This effect didn't last long as the clouds were moving pretty fast.  It rained later on in the evening.

I've also finished The Science of Discworld II: The Globe and am within striking distance of finishing The Science of Discworld III: Darwin's Watch.  They're pretty dense books.  I think I need to read them again very soon.
And lastly, this is hilarious.  I want one.
