Fancy reading a good 'Withnail & I' fic?
Von & i might've spent a lazy Saturday in bed "doing the voices".*
It's co-authored, which means i can say it's good and not sound conceited. i simply mean it's his bits that are hysterically funny (and they are).
My bits are good as well - i appear to have a flair for neuroses which borders on the quite worrying. Yes, i was Marwood - it just happened like that. Considering my current haircut, i could probably cos-play as Marwood with very little difficulty (disregarding the bosom). &Von has always had something of the Richard E. Grant about him, some hair gel, a bad suit and maybe the lingering odour of Vicks and we could easily win first prize. If there happened to be some event where we could get away with dressing as W&I.
Anyway, on with the show.
The Inevitable Consequences of Dropping the Soap.
( This is the life. Long hot bath. Graceful comedown. Journey's End on the soap tray, genuine possibility of a part, and Withnail off in some vast elsewhere in which I have no interest. )
*We do that a lot. (The voices. Though, admittedly, we also spend a not insignificant amount of time in bed. Especially on Saturdays.)
Maybe it's a couple thing, maybe it's a fandom thing, maybe the theatre is just in our very souls but we often do skits of characters. Frequently with accents, hand-gestures, and the like.
Our 'Ianto Jones vs the Rest of Torchwood' is pretty legendary amongst... well, our neighbours, people in the street, passengers on buses. And the argument between Frobisher and the Sixth Doctor from 'The Lady and the Penguin'** is my current ringtone.
Should the possible "moving in with other people" occur this will no doubt prove to be more entertaining than television.
