Wow. I have no words. I was convinced you were gonna break my heart and you nearly did. Very original, I was really not expecting the end. Love your take on the sword in the stone. Epic and frankly bloody marvellous!

Thank you so much, sorry it took so long to reply. Yeah, the sword in the stone - don't ask me how exactly, I just had this idea of Merlin being struck through with a sword and it grew from there. Of course, the fact that Morgana is meant to one day betray them added to my idea... watch your back Merlin!

Well done. I liked how Jarrod became Galahad. And the fighting sequences were great. Loved the way Morgana saved the boys!

Thanks, Galahad in the other versions of the Arthur legend is always my favourite and I do wonder if they will have him appear (although he is usually told as the bastard son of Lancelot but then this version of Merlin has already played with ages so... whatever). Also, having a man from the middle-east is not so strange for this time in history (tomatoes... now that is strange - check their origin and you'll know what I mean).

All these great comments are making me blush. Thanks, since I almost wrote myself into a corner a few times your reaction fits nicely.

Wow - just read the whole thing in one go, I only meant to read the first story but I got pulled in and read the whole sequel as well. I thought it was amazing, so detailed and original and I loved how you wove in so many parts of the legend (personal favourite: cutting those pesky corners off the square table...). I am in awe of your storytelling abilities!!

Yes, those corners... I just thought it a very Arthur thing to do - and then later he would pretend it was a well thought out and sagely thing to do.

what happened to gwen?!?!? so confused!

Yes, sorry about that. I probably could have explained that better but ran out of time and space. Suffice it to say that since her story and very existence in history relies on Arthur and Merlin then without their proper story... there is no Gwen. Since they were put right Gwen got to exist after-all; if I had the time I would have had other characters start to disappear but the plot was getting a little clunky.
