Okay, so I'm Bringing 9 drabbles and a meta, because I misread once again the challenge's instructions. I'm still publishing the 9th drabble that should have been the end of my table because well, I wrote it anyway, you know?
And for a few prompts, the drabbles are not really drabbles, more like mini fics, but
nowgold said it was okay in the questions section....

Warning: the "Social Networking" Drabbble is spoilery for Torchwood's "Children of Earth" which is actually funny when you think about it from my point of view since I didn't see said mini-series. But carry on...

Meta
Prompt: Your Choice
Fandom: Fringe, episode 1x01 Pilot
For this meta, I'm gonna review the pilot of Fringe, and say why imo it was perfect.
First, we got a strong female lead, Olivia Dunham who's not afraid in the very first episode to start fighting with her boss. I love strong characters.
Then, you got the gory crime that prompted the unit to start working: the plane full of dead people is in the end a wonderful allusion to Lost, and it set the tone perfectly.
Then, you got the crazy scientist, Walter Bishop, who couldn't remember who he was, and you couldn't really fault him because Saint Clair is really really creepy. The man walked out of there with sequels, and it's quite understandable. Plus the fact that he was getting out of an asylum set the tone for a few episodes that would happen next when he would need to get accutomed again to walking in a normal crowd.
Then, you got the cutie, Gene The Cow Peter, the cheeky boy with the crazy smile, who calls Olivia "Sweetie" in a way that totally reminded me of the men in "Mad men" when they adress their secretary. She's not your sweetie honey not yet
Then , the faithful sidekicks: Astrid, a human girl whose name seems to be the hardest to remember if you ask Walter, and GENE THE FREAKING COW. THEY HAVE A COW. WITH FEELINGS.
I consider my job here done, if you don't want to watch Fringe, then I can't/don't know how to help you....
Drabbles
Prompt: Your Favourite Character
Fandom: Fringe
One day, Olivia dies, her vitals just drop and there’s no doubt about the diagnosis: she’s dead. Her captors hadn’t thought their treatment was that aggressive, so they rushed in her cell to try and resuscitate her. Mr. Bishop wouldn’t be happy if his precious prisoner was to die on their hands. They start CPR, the two guards wondering what they will do if they can’t bring her back.
One thing they didn’t factor in, Olivia is a cortexiphane child. All this time alone in her cell has allowed her to come to terms with what she is, and she learnt to control it. When she sense them getting careless about the security of the scene, too busy to try to bring her back (one of them actually also trying to cope a feel at the same time), she uses her ability, and her heart starts beating again. Then she surprises the hell out of them, kills both guards and escape. Never underestimate a cortexiphane child, you stupid alternate people.
Prompt: BFF-ness
Fandom: Fringe
As she re-entered the lab for the first time in months, Olivia felt weirdly at home. Even her place didn’t feel that comfortable, it was quite amazing. Walter came to greet her, all smile and delight, and she realized that one of her fears would never come true: she had been afraid after being tortured by Walternate, she wouldn’t be able to stare into Walter’s eyes and not feel hatred. She only felt love for the old man.
Astrid was right behind him and gave her a smile. As Walter ran to his office to fetch a plant he had created to celebrate the return of his beloved Agent Dunham, Astrid made her way to her, and briefly hugged her.
“This is our Walter,” the woman murmured in her ear, “you don’t need to be afraid. He missed you a lot.”
Olivia had to hold back tears, touched by the hug and the woman’s gentleness.
“I didn’t know I was that transparent,” she said with shakes in her voice.
“Maybe I jus know you more than you thought,” Astrid answered smiling shyly. “Peter called, he’s going to arrive after you, he was really mad he wouldn’t be there to greet you back to the lab.”
Olivia laughed.
“He called me to warn me he would be late. That poor boy…”
“He was pretty shaken to have lost you, be kind to him,” Astrid fake-scolded her.
“You know I will…”
Astrid winked at her, knowing fully well that the man had been staying at her place every night since she got out of the hospital. Walter came back looking like a happy puppy, with a trophy, carrying one of the weirdest plant Olivia had ever seen in her life, and that meant a lot considering her line of work.
Prompt: A Ship
Fandom: Fringe
When they finally get her back, after a terrible rescue mission where she got shot, in addition to all the previous injuries she had been sporting since her stay in Walternate’s land, Peter feels like he can’t let her out of his sight. He stays by her side, in the ambulance and at the hospital. She’s slipping in and out of consciousness. He can tell she used the last of her forces to get herself out and that she needs recuperation.
He stays by her side all the time, even when they put her in a medically induced coma to ease her suffering.
“If I belong with you,” he tells her, “then you belong with me too. Come back to me.”
He kisses the hand he’s holding, impatient for the day she will open her eyes and meet his. It’s the only thing he lives for nowadays.
Prompt: Someone you hated, but now love
Fandom: Doctor Who, Mickey
He was a damn good fighter, and he was proud of it. Since the first appearance of the Cybermen in his life, he felt like he had finally found his true calling, and he finally felt accomplished. When he would wait around for Rose to pop back in his life, or for her and the Doctor ro let him tag along for an adventure, he had this feeling in this gut, like maybe it shouldn’t be just a temporary thing, maybe he should do this more often, but he never had the nerve to say it out loud. The day he embraced his destiny had been his new beginning, a new chance at making a difference in this world. He may not have a shiny TARDIS, but his old car was just fine.

“We could call in sick”, Peter said, rubbing his unshaven cheek against the top of her breast.
She shivered a little at the sensation, then punched him on the arm, trying to get him off of her.
“I’ve been on sick leave for six weeks,” she said, “I’ve only been back for 4 days, I want to go to work today!” She told him.
“Or,” he said with that cheeky grin of this, “ we could stay here and sleep a little…”
“Sure, ‘cause sleep is what you’ve got on your mind!” She laughed as she got out of bed.
She took a few minutes to take in the sight of him in her bed. That really felt right.
“I can’t argue that,” he said, smiling like the Cheshire Cat. “Come on, it’s up to you, your choice, we could stay in all day, have a lazy day of some sort…”
She tried to threw daggers at him but fail miserably as she was smiling.
“If we call in sick, Walter will be there in 15 minutes with Astrid, and he will insist on getting us both in quarantine in case we’re contagious, because, you know, we both got sick,” she said, as she looked for fresh underwear in her closet.
“Okay, way to kill the mood. I already asked you not to mention my father when either one of us is naked!” He said, jumping from the bed.
“Walter!” She said, challenging him, wanting to see what he would do to her.
“Don’t make me punish you,” he taunted.
She laughed again and said “Walter!”
Needless to say, they had to call in and let Astrid know they would be late. His punishment was definitely worth the few weird stares Walter threw their way when he saw them get in together, Peter dressed the same way as the day before.
Prompt: A Minor Character
Fandom: Fringe
Gene laid a lazy eye on her surrounding. Walter and Astrid were working on some secret experiment, Astrid indulging Walter obviously. Peter was a little further away from them, chatting with Agent Dunham, his special smile - the one he used just for her - featured all over his human charming face. This was just your average day at work, she thought. She just hoped Walter would find himself in need of a fruit, she was looking forward to seeing Mr Papaya again.
Prompt: Social Networking
Fandom: Doctor Who with a hint of Torchwood
"Ianto is dead."
Mickey almost dropped the weapon he was cleaning when he heard his wife. He hurried to look over her shoulder, at the computer screen.
“What did you say babe?” He asked, though he had the proof in front of his eyes.
“Ianto is dead,” Martha say, trying to wipe away the tears off her face. “I logged in on Facebook, and there was this message on his profile. He died in the line of duty. Gwen hacked into his account. She put up an address for people who want to attend his burial, and for those who will just send flowers.”
They stayed silent for a moment, his hand resting on her shoulder as she cried silently.
“We’ll attend the burial,” Mickey said sternly.
She nodded.
Prompt: Colours
Fandom: Doctor Who
Sometimes at night, she has this weird dream, where she is all goddess-like. She can feel it has something to do with the TARDIS, but she can’t remember what. She just see her Doctor, with the face he had when she first met him, and she see wonder in his eyes, so much wonders. And everything is full of colours, such lovely colours, of a golden shade. She can’t see herself in this dream, she just witness the scene as if she was there. She can’t help but wonder what brought all those shades, what is the reason for those lovely lights. She feels powerful in this dream, like she could change things, like she really matters. It’s silly, but sometimes she wishes she would dream more often of this, because the goddess-like feeling she gets from it is one of the best thing she ever felt in her life.
Prompt: Something Old
Fandom: Doctor Who
Even after another regeneration, a few things never changed about the Doctor. First of all, his sharp mind, and his will to save whatever planet was in danger, otherwise, he wouldn’t be the Doctor. Second of all, and this was quite a paradox, because the man kept on getting younger and younger physically when he regenerated, there was something that always remained in his eyes, a light of some sort, a vibe. You could always tell that the Doctor had seen it all, or so it felt. You could always tell that his long life had taken a heavy toll on him. It was one of those things that you could always spot in his eyes, something that made him, Rose thought as she stared in the new face of the man she had already known under two different appearances. She could see it in his eyes, that young boy was her Doctor. She ran to him in delight.
