Ooo! Jealous of D!
She is in charge of our sample library and has the hook-up with lots of companies. She is getting free--FREE--fabric to make an Elizabethan gown and underskirt. The only stipulation is that they can keep it on display in their showroom for a year, but she can borrow it back if she wants to wear it for something. This is how she got the fabric for her kimono that she lent to jenthompson for the Kimball trip.
This ain't cheap stuff either. This is high-end, high-quality fabric you can only get direct from the manufacturer (IOW, you won't find this stuff on Perth Street).
She just showed me swatches of what she is thinking of asking for, and I can only say OMG. One of them is so Jacobean it hurts!
So, just to reiterate, JEALOUS!!!

I wonder if she'd ask for enough so I could make a gown too?
