Forgive me father, for I have sinned. I think.

*sigh*

Once again, I blew off the sewing. This time it was to satisfy the urge to buy material for the gown. I had already bought some blood red linen/rayon for it and was going to use the sparkly gold for trim. Well, CADD being the bitch that it is, I decided it needed to be something nicer. So out we went to Joanns to get some cherry red cotton velveteen and poppy red silk to line it, and I already have some gold silk to use for the trim. The velveteen was part of the 50% off decorator fabric, and the silk was part of the 50% off red tag decorator fabric sales, so it would have been around $60 for 13 yards of fabric. It wasn't, however, as the cutting lady apparently entered a "1" instead of a "7" for the yardage for the velveteen. I didn't catch it until I was down at the register paying. I confess to my (very short lived) shame that I did not bring this to the attention of the check out lady. This means I got 6 free yards of velveteen. I really am trying to feel guilty about it, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm a bad, bad girl.

But butterscotch gold silk should look faboo on cherry red velveteen, dontcha think?
