Fantastic weekend!

Saturday, W took me to get new tires for my car as a Christmas present. Yay new tires! After that, Teh Momster and I went to this antique show/sale/thingy at Fair Park. Very little stuff of interest to this costumer, although I did score a straight-handled umbrella (looks like a parasol, only it can survive being rained on), a few crochet collars (they need to be bleached, but at $8 per pound they were a steal), a turn-of-the-century-ish long apron (I think it's actually vintage 1970's--but at $2 it was also a steal), and a black petticoat (the waist band was badly cut off, it has one small tear and I suspect it is not as vintage as it claims to be, but it was $10 and pretty and I can put a waistband on it if I want to wear it so I consider it to also be a steal). There was lots and lots of sparkly jewelry and silver plate and other more eclectic items. Interesting. After dinner and a short rest, we went to Joanns to see if there were any patterns worth buying. There were. ;)

Sunday I was uber lazy so The Beast and I watched volume two of Voltron (my Best Buy karma has apparently run out, as they persist in claiming vol. 2 is to be released on Dec. 19th even though everyone else was claiming it came out the week before--I found my copy at Wal-Mart). Then I made up a pizza, but over did it on the cheese. Then we watched the first 15 or so episodes of GTO. Dude is such a perv. >:)

But the bestest most fantastical part of the weekend was this: I found PEPPERMINT ICE CREAM!!!! EEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Ashni so happy!!!!
