I was looking ahead and Pirate Invasion is in a couple of weeks. Maurie (or Kibyuanae as I am trying to beat into the heads of everyone--including me) all but promised Exeter that the Silver Corsair herself would be making an appearance that weekend. It will be the Sunday because that Saturday morning is vet for Her Fearsomeness and the afternoon is J-san's "Staining Party" for his Treehouse competition. But aside from that, I don't have anything that is Piratical to wear other than the cavalier hat. I have material for a pair of slightly poofy black pants/bloomers, a black shirt, and the innards of a new corset/bodice. I was thinking I could cover the corset/bodice in grey or silver silk (if I can find some within my budget--otherwise it would be broadcloth) and maybe whip up a grey or silver skirt or two (that much silk is definitely out of my budget, though). I'm thinking different shades of grey/silver for the various pieces, and black for any trim. I guess my short little boots would be ok if I was wearing skirts. I even have a selection of swords should Ashni choose to wear one. Of course, one is way too long, one doesn't have a good sheath, and one doesn't have a sheath at all. Plus I have no sword and/or rapier frogs. Hmm...maybe we'll skip the armaments. She's there to make lucre not war anyway. ;P

The million dollar question, though, is not can she do it but will she do it.
