I Could Be Your Lover, Chained Under the Water
Hallo. Salut. So while some people will have already read this in my away message, it amused me enough to bear retelling.
Just now I went down to Duane Reade, where they are selling 1 litre bottles of Poland Spring for 77 cents each (and only with your dollar rewards card, at that). On the shelf below they have a 3.79 litre container of the same water for 1.69. This just doesn't make any credible sense. If I bought four bottles of the smaller size, it would cost me over 3 dollars for less than half an additional litre of water. I hate to think what morons Duane Reade thinks their customers must be, and worse, what morons they actually are.
PS-My momma taught me to be a smart shopper. Or maybe a cheap one.
