Sometimes I just don't understand people. This has nothing to do with the meaning of life or the mystery of human nature or anything like that. It's more like common sense, instinct even.

Today on the subway I was accompanied by a heavy box and a big heavy paper bag (which sucked, btw). Anyway I eventually was able to sit down, with the box halfway under the seat and the bag on my lap. So this woman comes on the train at 14th Street, pulling a little rolling suitcase and carrying a big, ugly, out-of-style jelly bag. Now, there are eleven empty seats in my section of the subway car and a total of twenty-six empty seats in the rest of the car, and she sits right next to me. (I was so shocked that I counted the number of empty seats!) I don't even need to expand on the reasons why this was an incredibly non-sensical thing to do, especially since we both had carry-ons that required extra space.

Another stupid thing happened yesterday. I was exiting the Christopher Street station, with a huge, cumbersome suitcase in my arms, preparing to carry it up the stairs and out onto the street. Some asshole is walking down the stairs, directly towards me, as if me and my burden should get out of his way. He didn't change his course until about one stair before me, and when he passed by me, he was so close that he bumped the side of the suitcase, almost causing me to lose my balance. It's not like there was a train pulling up to the platform and he was rushing to get to it before it left...he just couldn't be bothered to move literally maybe six inches to his left to let me pass.

One more thing: this lady at the office made me do filing today, and I am not supposed to do filing today, only reception desk, and that made me mad.

PS-Perhaps you are wondering why I have to take crap on the subway with me every day. I wonder the same thing.
PPS-I'm boycotting ConnectU. More on that topic to come.
