So... Joe and I are supposed to be having our wedding this upcoming March 13. Last night we received an email so thoughtfully (*sarcasm*) letting us know that our wedding venue has been foreclosed upon. No more wedding for us. Yeah...
We can't change the date -- our DJ, photographer, officiant, and honeymoon have all been paid. And many of our guests have already made plans. We're trying to find a new venue, it's just that most of the places left are exactly what I didn't want for my wedding -- and apparently no one else did either.
I'm not gonna panic or be all "poor me", but this seriously sucks. Apparently the owner knew this might happen for quite some time, but didn't bother to let anyone know. I'm sure there are other people in my same situation, too. And open dates past March are even harder to come by, I feel awful for anyone booked in May, June, or July. They have almost no shot.
Oh well, I guess. Nothing I can do but try to throw something together at the last minute. Funny that it occurs to me this isn't nearly as bad as a hotel room mix-up that leaves us without a place at Dragon*Con. Look on the bright side, right? Still have our Marriott room. :)
