I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to believe in God.  Who wouldn't want comfort in the fact that we're here for a reason and that our life here on earth isn't the end, that our choices, beliefs and actions lead to something bigger and better?
Also, as I read and learn more about Christianity, it seems to me that those who don't believe in God just don't have all the information they need.  Reason and faith work together.  Logic points to God.  Albert Einstien said so hah.
Atheism is when someone is absolutely sure that there is no God.  I don't think many people would be bold enough to say that they know beyond a reasonable doubt that there isn't a God or a power greater than us out there.  So eliminating atheism, we're left with agnostics.  These are people who say 'they don't know' or that humans are incapable of knowing whether or not there is a God.  This is a lazy aproach I think.  Your religious beliefs are the most important thing you'll form an opinion about, and I think it's worthwhile to look into what you believe and why.  Also, if Christianity is wrong, what's the consequence?  You live a good life and then die and that's it.  But I think the consequences are worse if you don't believe in God and you're wrong.
I like that I'm building up an explanation for my faith.  It's comforting to know that Christianity does not call for blind faith at all, reason and knowledge go hand in hand with it.
