U.S. gasoline prices are about the same as they were in Europe about ten years ago, so don't worry about it. Current European prices are around $6-$7/gallon.

Energy prices here are still poised to cause real world inflation. The sticker price of energy isn't the problem; it's what it's going to do throughout the economy if we don't plan for it.

True. Still, people do complain a lot about the sticker price.

People complain about a lot of things, but it's really pointless chatter. Many professional office workers could easily pad their budgets by switching from lattes to drip coffee in the morning, and when they start doing things like that, THEN they're actually feeling the pinch.

How European economies shoulder such high energy prices is beyond me, BTW.
