Realized I haven't updated here in awhile. Ladybug larvae came a couple weeks ago, they look NOTHING like ladybugs, go figure! My friend Angie, who was over here while the ladybugs were still in that stage said "hmmm . . . I've seen those on my plants, I just never realized they were ladybugs" LOL. The girls have SO loved this project. The curriculum recommended a really cool book
"Are You A Ladybug?" that explains the lifecycle in a very easy to understand way, so it helped them know what to expect with each stage which was cool "Look mommy, they look like ladybugs but they're not red yet . . . look that one's getting red . . ." etc. We'll give them another day or two to make sure they've all hatched out & then we'll let them go in our garden. It's definitely been a fun thing, I think we'll do it again next spring :)
Got the slip-n-slide out this afternoon. Girls loved it, I found sitting out there while they played to be . . . HOT!!! But oh well.
