Loving this weather . . .
FINALLY we get some nice weather!!! We've pretty much spent all week outside!! The girls are loving it!!!
Monday we went to a local farm to feed the calves (I'm so amused, they "let" people feed the calves, great way to market "please come do our chores so we have less to do LOL, but the girls love it!). The farm also sells ice cream, including cute little kid cones for $0.50 Needless to say the girls are all about "my own cone?!?!?" :)
I finally convinced the girls to really give the "big bikes" a chance (the uneven-ness of the road & sidewalk made them nervous at first) yesterday. By yesterday evening they were zooming around the cul de sac like they'd been doing it forever LOL. We also added a toad house & pond to our flower beds. At this point, there's no chance of a toad moving in, the girls check it every 30 seconds whenever we're outside, but I figure the novelty will wear off & then maybe they'll leave it alone long enough to let a toad feel safe moving in :)
This morning was the first time all week that they wanted to paint (outside in the great weather has taken precedence the rest of the time), and then Lexie was upset because the colors we used today included purple, but not blue. She finally got over it LOL.
