As for the writer's block: I say yes & no. I think it just depends on the person, like all stereotypes do. Like, me, I'll ask for directions in a heartbeat, but I have some female friends who wouldn't. And I know a ton of men who've asked for directions, but then again, some who absolutely WILL NOT.
