I loved that movie. I had that huge grin from ear to ear through most of it and it felt Sooooo good. I liked that there was not lots of dialogues between the musical numbers and it was so much better like this. Because of the clothes and time, I had to compare it to Dreamgirls and it wins. Hands down. Most enjoyable movie this year so far.
John Travolta does a really ugly woman. Of course, he's been a really ugly man for at least 15 years too. But he was great, and seing him and Christopher walken in full tango outfits was one of my favorite parts of the movie.
The lead character AND actress (Nikki Blonsky) seriously rocks.
Zac Efron (Link) has something adorable. I don't know exactly why, I don't find him that cute but his character was so silly I loved it.
My favorite song is Big, Blonde and Beautiful.
The line about the idea of March made me laugh so much... but only myself (and my friend next to me is an History Teacher... let's use the language defense)
It took me a hour and half to recognize Amanda Bynes. Which is strange considering I saw some episodes of What I like about you a hundred times and I love her and her adorable facial expressions. And if course, Penny was my favorite storyline. Her mother was hysterical too.
It's like a bubble gum and it made me really happy. The story was enjoyable, the songs where great, there were lots of glitters, made me want to sing and dance, and I laughed the whole time, so I don't ask for anything more.
