Ah, it's been awhile! I've been having pretty much the busiest summer ever. After John's graduation, we came back here and soon went back to Chico for 2 weeks. Had a good time, except the whole moving out of his apartment thing. Somehow it was more emotional for me than it was for him, heh. We've had Chico since the beginning of our relationship, and it was the place we could really be alone and "play house", so to speak. We had our biggest fights there, but also most of our most romantic moments. It's weird not having Chico anymore. Ah, speaking of which, during our respite there we celebrated out 6th year anniversary/John's birthday. Crazy that we've been together 6 years now, haha ^^ Ate at an amazing steakhouse that we never got to go to before, and dang I wish they had one here, because the steak literally melted in my mouth. Yum. Anyway, at the end of the 2 weeks, we were too cheap to get a UHaul to move his stuff, so we used his mom's mini SUV to pack up his stuff.. it was extremely stressful. It took us 9 hours of shoving boxes in, rearranging, taking things out, putting them back in.. every single inch of the car was full of stuff @.@ Annnd we did it all in 105 degree weather. UGH. It was a horrible day. Ended up driving it all home at midnight, which wasn't safe.. got home around 3:30am.
About 2 days later, we got on a plane and went off to LA for Anime Expo. Absolutely amazing weekend, definitely made up for the fact that we were barely at Fanime. I'll have details for AX sometime soon, already wrote up most of it.
Last Friday, the 17th, was my birthday. Yay for being 23. Didn't do anything except had fondue with John and my mom. Ended up spending most of the day being depressed and feeling sorry for myself. Lame of me, ne? Been feeling extremely down and sad for about a week now, not sure what to do about it.
Yesterday we went to the Final Fantasy Symphony.. but just before we left my mom and I had a huge fight, so she decided to ruin the night as best as she could by being an absolute bitch and not talking to me or John all night, and making the whole night uncomfortable. I tried not to let it get to me though, because the music was absolutely fantastic. Loved Ronfaure the most, as always. Except they didn't play the song I was looking forward to most, Distant Worlds.. even though the whole concert was NAMED after that song. Weird.
There's a lot of other stuff going on, but I'll just end the post here for now. Just wanted to give a little update in case anyone thought I disappeared, haha.
