an english sounding australian

*dances around room* I just did a voice post, I just did a voice post!

well. hi! I'm incredably excited, I just managed to post my first voice message, and while I sound so extremely english in it (I swear thats not really what I sound like) and there are lots of um's and ahhs, it's just *starts dancing again* to exciting for words.

I am back, and I do intend to immerse myself as fully as life will let me back into LJ land, and that will be a lot more than the past year. I'm so so sorry that I haven't been around at all, I was off in my own little world, and while it was slightly scary, it was also fun, and time consuming. broken jaws and broken hearts aside, I'm in pretty good shape, and life seems to be roaring ahead. There are the usual money troubles, I don't actually have a job at the moment, and I'm eating into all the money I worked so hard for in Brighton, but hey, I'm in Australia, its summer, and I shouldn't be sad. Or maybe I'm just in a good mood today...could definatly be that.

Just so that what I write over the next few months makes some sense, I am currently applying to University, and struggleing to write the essays which will get me a place. Its taken me years to work out a subject that I feel would capture my interest for a good three years (I think I like too many things...and how can that be a bad thing?) but I've decided to apply to Journalism & Pulic Relations at a uni in Bathurst (kinda near Sydney) (it has the best connections to the industry, and is devilishly hard to get into) and to the University of Technology in Brisbane, for round about the same subjects. I just think its a wide enough subject, and an interesting enough subject for me to get my teeth into.

My only other problem is that as much as I want to study, I'm getting the traveling bug again. One of my friends is off to Brazil in Febuary to Carnival and *wail* I want to go with her! But I've come to terms with it in that if I get into the course I want to, but still want to travel, I can defer after I've done a semester, and go traveling for a year, knowing I can go straight back to uni after. cuts out brazil, but gives me more time to save, so possibly puts in USA, Africa, Greece etc.

But essays first...get me off LJ! I spent all day with the writing bug yesterday, writing "Its all about the God Damn Hand", telling myself I'd do essay in the evening...then I discovered the TV and... no need to say what happened next. And please tell me what I am doing getting up at 5.45am? Well, walking on the beach, but that aside, it is madness! Madness I tell you!

Putting everything else aside, its lovely beyond belief to be back posting on LJ. *hugs everyone maddly* I've missed a good year, but now I'm back to squeal over the new film (or write crack fic about it) and hopefully to squeal soon enough over Book 7!
